William Scott Mize

A vocalist, pianist,  and teacher.  Scott has taught piano for over twenty years and began teaching voice after completing a M.M. in Opera Performance at North Carolina School of the Arts in 2005.  Scott enjoys teaching piano and voice lessons and strives to help students cultivate a love for music in their own lives.

Scott currently teaches at the New School of Music in Dunwoody and Lilburn.

Performing

Scott is an active performer.  Recent engagements include: 

• Gwinnet Symphony and Chorus - Mozart's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, excepts from La Traviata
• Capital City Opera - Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, several other roles, programing and accompanying benefit reviews
• Red Clay Theater - Accompanist for Nunsense
• Northwest Presbyterian Church - Staff Tenor Soloist, Occasional Substitute Organist
